Business reports

As your business grows, so does this obligation

Once a company exceeds the prescribed size, it must submit a business report together with its financial statements. The format is prescribed, the deadline is prescribed, and it is done once a year.

Companies that have placed their trust in us:

What we do

How we can help

We prepare the report with all the elements required by law, while protecting each client's confidential information.

We check whether you have the obligation

We determine whether your company exceeds the prescribed size and from which year.

We prepare the business report

A document describing the year's business, in the format prescribed by law.

We align it with the financial statements

The figures in the report and in the financial statements must match.

We deliver a document ready for submission

We keep track of the submission deadline, remind you of it, and prepare and send you instructions for each step of submitting it to the competent institution.

Who it's for

Who it is intended for

Companies that have exceeded the prescribed size and are therefore required to prepare the report.

It is your first time.

The company has grown and now needs a document you have never prepared before.

You don't have time to deal with it.

It is done once a year, alongside everything else that comes with closing the year.

You're not sure the format is right.

The report exists, but no one has checked whether it meets what the law requires.

Someone has asked for it.

A bank, investor or owner wants a report that will stand up to scrutiny.

The company is part of a group.

The report must be consistent within the group, not just with the regulations.

A finished document ready for submission, consistent with everything else you have reported.

Business report

Prepared in the prescribed format and based on what actually happened in the company.

Consistency with the financial statements

The figures in the report match what has already been reported.

An overview of what the report reveals

The same data tell you something too, not just the authority they are submitted to.

Preparation

What we need from you

You don't need to prepare anything in advance. After the first conversation, you get an exact list, and it usually includes the following.

Financial statements for the year the report covers

Information on the company's business during that year

Information on the ownership and organisational structure

The previous year's report, if there is one

The difference

Why companies work with us

A business report is easily reduced to a formality. That loses the only reason it is useful.

The usual approach compared with Vela's: starting from your business, on time, and with you after the job is done

We prepare it every year, for many companies

What comes up once a year for you is regular work for us.

We check format and content

The document must be correct both in its format and in what it states.

We align it with everything else

A report that doesn't match the financial statements raises questions instead of answering them.

We tell you what the numbers show

The same data you submit can also help you when you make decisions.

Questions

What you need to know about the annual report

The obligation, contents, deadline, and what to do if you have been preparing it yourself.

What is a business report?

A document that accompanies the financial statements and describes the company's business during the year. Unlike the financial statements, which show the numbers, the business report explains what lies behind them.

Which companies have this obligation?

The obligation depends on the size of the company, according to criteria set by law. A check is the first step in every engagement we take on.

What is the submission deadline?

The deadline for submitting the business report is 30 June of the current year for the previous year.

What if we have been preparing it ourselves?

That's not a problem. We review your existing report, compare it with the prescribed format and tell you what needs correcting.

Do you prepare reports for companies whose books you don't keep?

Yes. The report is prepared regardless of who does the accounting.

Can you prepare a report for a previous year?

We can review and prepare documentation for earlier years. What exactly is possible depends on the situation, and we discuss it before we start.
